Religious Education

Our Religious Education Curriculum aims to equip pupils with important knowledge about the world’s major religions, enabling them to participate effectively and respectfully in Britain’s rich, multi-cultural and multi-faith society.

They will develop a knowledge of and respect for different people’s faiths, feelings and values.  They will understand that different people have different viewpoints and they will appreciate those differences.

Further, our curriculum will provide pupils with opportunities to reflect on their own beliefs about the “big questions” in life, using religious stories, ideas and teachings as vehicles for learning. Through RE, pupils will develop an understanding of religions and an understanding of themselves.
