Relationships and Health Education

Our Relationships and Health Education curriculum ensures that there is a clear progression of knowledge and skills from early years, through key stage 1 and key stage 2.

Pupils at Rosendale will develop an understanding of the characteristics of positive and respectful relationships and how our physical and mental health are interlinked. They will be encouraged to question and reflect, and to develop perspective and judgement. Pupils will be given the information they need to be able to make informed choices about their physical and mental wellbeing and to help them form healthy relationships that are likely to lead to happiness and security in life. Relationships and Health education helps pupils to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time.
