School Performance

Rosendale follows the National Curriculum for England as set out by the Department for Education.  You can download details of the framework that we follow for Key Stage 1 & 2 below.

National Curriculum for Key Stage 1 and 2

In the early years children work towards meeting the Early Learning Goals by the end of reception. We use topic-based planning as a starting point for the children’s learning. Additionally, activities are planned based on the children’s interests.

Our SATS Results in Summer 2023

I am delighted that Rosendale's results are significantly above the national average again this year.  For our key stage 1 results we are in the top 20% of all schools in the country.  Not only that but the progress that our children made from key stage 1 to key stage 2 is also significantly above the national average.

We know how important it is to develop good learning behaviours and promote excellence and success for all our pupils in reading, writing and maths.  We also know how important it is for all our children to enjoy a broad and rich curriculum.

Our teaching style which uses mixed attainment teaching, structures that develop oracy for all and the opportunity for children to deepen their learning through peer coaching is one of the main reasons that our children are so successful year after year.
