School lunches at Rosendale Primary School

School Lunches

Our nutritious school meals are made onsite by Harrisons Catering using fresh, natural ingredients .  Special dietary requirements (e.g gluten-free, vegetarian) are catered for.   Parents can pick up a copy of the menu from the school office.

All children in reception and KS1 (years 1 and 2) are entitled to free school meals.

Children in KS2 and those who attend the nursery have to pay for school meals.

Lunches can be paid for using our online payment system, by cash, cheque, or by telephone banking.  The cost of school lunches per child are:

£1.85 per day
£9.25 per week
£53.65 first half of Summer Term
£62.90 second half of Summer Term
£115.55 for the whole Summer Term.

Free school meals are available to children whose parents receive Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Child Tax Credit or the Asylum Seekers Allowance.

Packed Lunches

We encourage children to bring healthy packed lunches into school.  Packed lunches should not contain glass bottles, cans of fizzy drinks or sweets.  We also ask that foods containing nuts are not brought to school in order to safeguard children with serious nut allergies.  Packed lunches should be brought in a suitable lunchbox clearly marked with the child’s name and class.

Any changes from one type of lunch to another must be reported to the School Office and in general, half a term’s notice should be given.
